A VOICE THAT CREATES IMPACT.

In my experience as a facilitator and speaker, I've done group sessions with businesses and organizations around salary negotiation, generational wealth building, and budgeting with intention from an intersectional and trauma informed lens. I've had the pleasure of working with organizations and companies like The Prosp(a)rity Project, Pereira O'Dell, General Assembly, and Factory 45.

In the United States, the federal minimum wage has been $7.25 since 2009 in the United States. This was only a 70 cent increase from 2008.

This minimum wage was intended to create a standard of living by Congress. If tied to inflation, by now the minimum wage would be about $26/hour. Salary wise, that is roughly $54,500 annually. This is still not even close to a thriving wage, especially with rising costs of living.

To deny the beneficial impact money makes is unrealistic. We have seen and experienced money being used in horrific ways and we can clearly see the impact there.

Unaffordable housing.

The racial, gender, and LGBTQIA+ wealth gaps.

Poverty.

Profit over people.

Profit over mother earth.

It doesn't end there.

Money (and other currencies) can also make an incredible impact that BENEFITS you, your neighbor, and our world.

2 TRILLION

Data in the National Equity Atlas show that our national GDP could be 14% or 2 trillion higher, if the wage disparity between white employees and BIPOC employees was eliminated.

ONE-TENTH

Investing in housing for LGBTQ+ youth is a cost saving approach. According to the Center for American Progress, the cost of moving a houseless youth from the streets into safe housing is only one-tenth of the cost of maintaining a young person in the criminal justice system.

HIGHER PER CAPITA

According to the Williams Institute, countries with more rights for LGBTQ+ people have a higher per capita income and higher levels of well-being.

YOU CAN'T POUR FROM AN EMPTY CUP.

We are all connected.

And we should not have to wait for that day to come. This is why I created NEED WANT DREAM, to show you that you can create that opportunity for yourself and know the income that it takes to get to where you need, want, and dream to be.

My signature workshop, NEED WANT DREAM, is the spark for your financial revolution.

People assume that financial literacy is just about knowing how to save, budget, and invest.

Rarely do you ever hear "make more money" as a part of financial literacy. In fact, usually you hear…

“Cut out unnecessary spending!”

“Go on a cash diet!”

“Credit cards are bad!”

That’s cute. Except we have systemic issues such as the wage, wealth, and opportunity gaps in the United States where folks are just trying to make ends meet.

This is where your NEED, WANT, DREAM numbers come in. This workshop empowers QTBIPOC to reclaim their agency, determine their need, want, and dream numbers, and encourage them to find and/or create opportunities to get to where they financially need and desire to be.

I speak to inspire. I teach to cultivate the kind of power that serves. Knowledge is meant to be shared and I choose financial literacy because I've seen the collective impact it creates in the world.
